Hey There. I'm the photographer, Jena.
I am 30 years old and a small town photographer. My husband, Derek, runs his own business doing custom baling and trucking all over the Midwest. We have a 4 year old son named Holden and twin 1 year old boys named Bennett and Lincoln- they are the directors of our little circus... I mean family. HA! Together we live out on a farm just outside of Viborg, South Dakota.
I have been doing photography for over 10 years now, having started straight out of high school. I am completely self taught, whether that be by trial and error or many, many, many hours spent watching YouTube tutorial videos! My goal in my photography is to continue to grow and meet new people. Over my career, I have made so many new friends and have had loads of returning clients, which always just gives me the warm and fuzzies! I love to capture people when they have an image in their head they want to bring to life and getting their personalities brought through the lens.
I believe one of the greatest rewards in this industry is making those connections and watch them grow as a person/family/etc. and to see how your work impacts them. Whether that be a self esteem boost, memory capsule or just a great look for their new LinkedIn profile. To me, that's what makes every session so special.
